In January-June 2023, 47 micro and small entrepreneurs turned to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) for a "Startup" certificate. Based on the "Startup Identification Criteria" approved by the Cabinet of Ministers' Decision dated January 29, 2021, the Expert Council issued certificates to 13 SMBs, 12 of which are micro and 1 is a small entrepreneur. Projects that have received the "Startup" certificate include mobile applications and online services as well as innovative solutions in fintech, education, healthcare, tourism, business digitalization, and e-commerce.

Overall, 94 micro and small business entities have been awarded the "Startup" certificate.

The "Startup" certificate exempts SMBs from profit and income tax on their income from innovation activities for a period of three years from the date of receipt of the certificate.

Micro and small business entities whose projects are being developed are encouraged to apply to KOBİA for a "Startup" certificate. For application form and other required documents, as well as detailed information on the relevant criteria, please visit the following link: https://bit.ly/3KqQwuV
