Micro and small entrepreneurship entities may apply to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) for support in gaining access to trade networks.

It should be noted that by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 1 December 2021, the “Rules on Supporting the Expansion of Sales in Trade Networks of Products Manufactured by Micro and Small Entrepreneurship Entities” were approved. According to the Decree, the support will be provided by KOBİA.

Entrepreneurs operating in the field of micro and small entrepreneurship may receive the support. Within the framework of this support, the size of the sales location provided for use by the entrepreneur at a trade facility is 50 cm, while the period for placing products in the sales area is 3 months. A micro entrepreneurship entity will pay 20% of the rent for the sales location provided for its use, while a small entrepreneurship entity will pay 50%.

Information on the sales locations rented by KOBİA at trade facilities will be posted on the official website of the Agency (www.smb.gov.az).

The following criteria will be taken into account when selecting entrepreneurs who will benefit from the support:

-  the product is produced in Azerbaijan for the first time;

-  the product has the potential for import substitution;

- the product is produced in other regions outside the City of Baku and Absheron District;

-  the entrepreneur has no experience in establishing relations with trade networks
