A honey processing facility was opened in Gakh

The beekeeping facility was commissioned in Lekit village of the Gakh region on December 4, as part of the Socio-Economic Development Activity (SEDA) project, which is jointly implemented by the Government of Azerbaijan and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

In this regard, representatives of Gakh region executive power, SMBDA, USAID, and local residents attended the event organized with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Organizers shared information on the projects implemented within the SEDA project and highlighted its contribution to the development of micro and small businesses in the regions.

Additionally, the importance of honey processing facility was emphasized in the packaging and storage of local honey products to be sold and generally so, in the development of beekeeping in Lakit village.

Note: So far, 163 projects on road construction, water supply, medical centers, incubators, as well as honey packaging, feed processing, confectionery, fruit drying facilities have been implemented in the regions of Azerbaijan under the SEDA project.
