The Agency for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMEDA) holds regular meetings with small and medium entrepreneurs operating in various sectors of the economy.

Another such meeting was organized with participation of large retail chains and local production companies.

The meeting was attended by representatives of large retail chains about 20 local producers as well as representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection and articulated opinions of entrepreneurs and made various suggestions.

At the meeting, the participants discussed trade relations between local producers and retail chains, including the flow of documents between them, entrepreneurs’ access to retail chains.

First Deputy Chairman of the SMEA Board Natig Hasanov noted that some issues raised during these meetings were resolved within the framework of the Agency’s competence, while the remaining issues were addressed to the relevant government agencies, and that such meetings with participation of entrepreneurs and relevant government agencies will continue.
