A meeting was held with SME development centers

In order to develop the knowledge and skills of entrepreneurs in line with modern challenges and needs, the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) met with SME development centers.


The meeting, organized in a hybrid format, was attended by representatives of SME development centers (KOBİM) operating in 21 cities and regions of the country.

Chairman of the Board of KOBİA Orkhan Mammadov said that educating entrepreneurs, increasing their knowledge and skills is a priority. It was noted that the main goal of the policy to increase the knowledge and skills of SMEs is to identify the needs of entrepreneurs in accordance with strategic goals and ensure that they are systematically updated in knowledge and skills and gain practical skills in accordance with their activities. Involvement of the private sector in increasing the knowledge and skills of entrepreneurs is widely used in international practice. KOBİMs are also managed by various operating companies. In 2021-2022, 1883 trainings were organized by KOBİMs, which benefited about 24,000 SMEs. 20,000 hours of consulting services were provided to 4,000 SMEs. With the support of KOBİMs, about 500 business plans have been developed for the establishment of new businesses and the development of existing businesses, and 100 new SME entities have been established.


The meeting discussed the activities of KOBİMs, their support and services, more efficient and results-oriented organization of their activities, and heard the proposals of KOBİMs.
