A new project has been launched within the framework of public-private sector collaboration to support startups

To contribute to the development of Azerbaijan's innovation ecosystem, support local startups in presenting their projects to investors, and facilitate their entry into foreign markets, the next event is held with the participation of both the public and private sectors.

At the "Investment Tour" event, organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) in partnership with the "Özbahçeci Investment Club," over 50 local and international investors and businesspeople participated.

At the event, six local startup projects were presented to potential investors. The projects were met with significant interest from the investors. The best project selected by the investors will be awarded with   technical and mentorship support. Overall, all participants received   letters of acknowledgment.

The Chairman of the Management Board of the KOBİA, Orkhan Mammadov, and the President of the Özbahçeci Investment Club, Turan Özbahçeci, both delivered   speeches at the event. In their speeches, they laid out information on the development of the startup ecosystem in our country, support measures in this area, including the SMBDA's support tools, and public-private sector collaboration in supporting young and innovative entrepreneurial initiatives. During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the KOBİA and the “Özbahcheci Investment Club”. The document outlines collaborative efforts for the development of Azerbaijani startups, including joint training programs, mentorship services, and other support measures for startups and small businesses.
