
With the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) and the initiative of USAID's Private Sector Development Project, a seminar on "The role of GS1 system and barcodes in exports, the importance of automatic identification technologies" was held in Lankaran-Astara economic region.
The seminar, organized in Jalilabad, Masalli, Lankaran and Astara districts, was attended by entrepreneurs engaged in the production and export of agricultural products and services.
At the event, representatives of GS1 Azerbaijan gave detailed information about the GS1 system, the role of barcodes in everyday life and exports, provided detailed information on the points to be considered in connection with the barcode during export, and demonstrated the process of accounting and inventory using barcodes.
The seminar was attended by more than 60 entrepreneurs from relevant regions. A seminar on the relevant topic is planned to be held in the northern and western regions of the country.
