The 2nd "Agribusiness Development Forum" was held in Baku.
The forum organized by the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency (AKIA) under the Ministry of Agriculture, aims to thrash out critical steps on exchanging international and local experience, current state of the affairs, opportunities, including financial support for agribusiness and state led benefits for more entrepreneurs by bringing together the parties with significant role in the development of agribusiness in the country.
In his speech at the forum, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), shared his views on the development of agriculture in our country and entrepreneurial activity in this field. It was noted that the Agency supports implementation of programs aimed at the development of entrepreneurship and SMBs in rural areas, enhancing their competitiveness, and cooperates with various organizations for this purpose. Entrepreneurs of the agrarian field are encouraged to benefit from the internal market research provided by KOBİA in the direction of business establishment and development, issuance of the "Startup" certificate, support for the sale of SMBs' products in trade networks, and grant funds for the financing of education, science, research and support projects of SMBs, support mechanisms for promoting and selling local products at exhibitions.
"Baku SMB House" also renders services regarding agriculture and food safety, among other services, to entrepreneurs.
At the event held with the attendance of representatives of state institutions and international organizations, business entities, panel discussions on various topics were organized, and entrepreneurs contributed to the development of the agricultural sector were awarded.
