ANNOUNCEMENT

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) announces the acceptance of candidates for membership of the Public Council.


It is announced that in connection with the creation of the new composition of the Public Council under the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) applications for membership will be accepted. Business associations and unions, specialized civil society institutions representing civil society and whose main activity is the promotion and protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, with extensive experience in this field, that want to participate as members in the activities of the Public Council under KOBİA, can apply to the Election Commission formed by KOBİA for their candidates. Each civil society institution can nominate only one candidate for the membership of the Public Council.


Elections will be held on the date and place determined by the Election Commission.


Documents required for the application:

 - Candidate's application;

 - Copy of candidate's identity card;

 - A copy of the registration certificate and extract from the register of the civil society institution where the candidate is represented;

- A document confirming his/her membership (official position) (if any) in that or another civil society institution regarding the representative whom the applied civil society institute wants to be represented in the Public Council, along with a letter recommending that he/she be officially accepted as a member of the Public Council;

- A document proving that the candidate has experience or knowledge in the relevant field (if any, a copy of the employment history and other supporting documents).


The above-mentioned documents can be submitted in paper form within 20 working days from 25.10.2022 (by 18:00 on 23.11.2022) by coming to the administrative building of KOBİA located at 134 Atatürk Avenue, or sent in electronic form to ictimaishura@smb.gov.az


The requirements for the civil society institute and the candidate nominated by it are as follows:

- The civil society organization’s ongoing activities; 

- If the candidate has a conviction, it has been overturned or settled.


Within three working days, the Election Commission will assess the registration of the candidate for the Public Council, make the appropriate decision, and notify the candidate of the outcome.

Note: The Public Council under KOBİA, which has been operating since 2018, provides public participation in the institution, implements measures related to the development of small and medium businesses, and public control over the activities of KOBİA. The number of members of the Public Council is 15, determined by the Election Commission, and the composition of the Council is formed through elections held every 2 years. Elections to the Public Council under KOBİA were last held in 2020.
