The meeting of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council, attended by representatives of state and private institutions, hashed out avenues for cooperation.
The Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council held its 5th meeting in Baku. The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the Federation of Saudi Chambers hosted an event where officials and business people from both nations were in attendance.
During the meeting, Elnur Aliyev, the First Deputy Minister of Economy, and Hassan Al-Huwaizi, the Chairman of the Board of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, discussed economic and trade relations, investment opportunities, and export perspectives between the two countries.
The co-chairs of the Business Council - CEO of "Al Rajhi International for Investment" Ahmed Ali Al-Dakhil and Chairman of the Board of KOBİA Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone Authority Valeh Alasgarov, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to our country Issam bin Saleh Al-Jutaily, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev, and Executive Director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev provided information on the prospects of expanding trade and investment relations among business circles, the support and services provided to local and foreign business people in Azerbaijan, and the activities of the Business Council.
At the event, discussions focused on the execution of collaborative initiatives and projects involving entrepreneurs from both nations, enhancing connections among business communities, and strengthening the role of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council in these areas. The goal was to further SMB involvement in fostering mutual investments. The event was followed with presentations and B2B meetings between the entrepreneurs.
Note: The Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council was established in 2022. This Council, comprised of delegates from the business sectors of both countries, promotes the ventures of business owners, assists in establishing direct connections among them, orchestrates reciprocal visits, gatherings, and diverse activities, and encourages the sharing of information among entrepreneurs.
