Azerbaijan-Ukraine trade and economic cooperation discussed

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) took part in a video conference on "Ukraine-Azerbaijan: trade and economic cooperation in the context of global change" organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine.

At the event, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, Mr. Orkhan Mammadov highlighted the work in the development of small and medium business (SMB) in the country, the Agency's activities in this field, the opportunities for cooperation in the field of SMB with relevant Ukrainian institutions and businesses, with the participation of SMBs of both countries. He shared his views and proposals on the establishment of joint clusters, the study of the Ukrainian experience in the field of public-private partnership, the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine Business Council. He also called on Ukrainian investors to invest in tourism, telecommunications, production and processing of agricultural products and other promising areas identified by the Azerbaijani government as a priority in the post-pandemic period, and said that the Agency would provide full support in this area.

The video conference was attended by Azerbaijani and Ukrainian ambassadors to Ukraine and Ukraine, representatives of government agencies and entrepreneurs that discussed prospects for expanding economic cooperation between the two countries, growth of trade turnover, organization of business meetings and more. The proposals were reviewed and the questions of the participants were answered.
