Baku SMB Development Center and NBFIs to cooperate

To improve financial literacy and access to financial resources of micro, small, and medium-sized business entities, Baku SMB Development Center under the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan held an online meeting with non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs). At the event, access of SMB entities to financial resources, financial instruments applied for SMBs and the options for their use, modern requirements for credit applications, etc. were discussed.

At the online event, information was given about the services provided free of charge by SMB development centers, which are part of the structure of SMBDA to improve access to financial resources of SMBs. Also, it was noted that the training sessions and seminars held at the Centers, support in business plan development, counseling, networking, and other services are useful in improving the financial literacy and expanding access to financial resources.

The services provided at the SMB development centers operating in Baku, Sumgait, and other regions will facilitate the work of credit organizations along with SMBs and support the growth of sustainable, development-oriented entrepreneurship services across the country. At the meeting, along with banks, NBFIs were invited to cooperate closely with the SMB development centers.
