Contribution of Small and Medium Business Volunteers to the “Year of Volunteers” 17.08.20
Contribution of Small and Medium Business Volunteers to the “Year of Volunteers”

Six "SMB Volunteers" in the "Year of Volunteers" were employed by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA).

So far, a total of 175 young people have been involved in volunteering in the Agency and its business units. With the support and coordination of SMBDA, a group of young people who became "SMB volunteers" started working in various public and private organizations, and 7 volunteers started working in SMBDA.

During 2020, various social campaigns, awareness-raising events and projects were implemented in Baku and the country's regions by the initiative and with participation of "SMB Volunteers".

To contribute to the "Year of Volunteers", with the support of SMBDA, 13,000 copies of the "Volunteer's Own / Handbook" were published and distributed free of charge to volunteers and young people. The book is available in soft copy in the "E-books" section of the Presidential Library http://www.ebooks.az/book_RktYb5zO.html) to make it more accessible to young people, volunteers and professionals working in this field, and to present it to a wider audience.

The "SMB Volunteers" Program has been implemented at SMBDA since 2018 to increase the knowledge and skills, outlook of young people, inculcate in them labor skills before starting a professional career, as well as to support entrepreneurs. Young people who want to join the program and volunteer at the Agency can register at www.smb.gov.az at "Become an SMB Volunteer" section and get detailed information about the program.
