Contribution of SMB volunteers to the "Year of Volunteers" 05.12.20

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2020 has been declared the "Year of Volunteers" in our country.

In the "Year of Volunteers” 7 young people who volunteered at the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) were hired by the structural units of the Agency. In total, more than 200 young people have so far volunteered at SMBDA.

To contribute to the "Year of Volunteers”, the "SMB Volunteers” with the support of SMBDA have published and distributed free of charge the “Volunteer's handbook" and shared it with volunteers of various organizations operating in our country. In 2020, "SMB Volunteers" supported the organization of various events and activities with the support and participation of the Agency, various projects were implemented at the initiative of volunteers.

It should be noted that in order to increase the knowledge and skills of young people, broaden their outlook, support young people to develop their job-readiness' skills before starting a professional career, as well as to support entrepreneurs, SMBDA has been implementing the "SMB Volunteers" Program since 2018. At the same time, the Volunteer Council has been operating under the Agency. "SMB Volunteers" gain experience, increase their knowledge and skills by closely participating in the daily work process in the administrative building of the Agency, “Friend of SMBs” offices, SMB houses and other structures of the organization. At the end of the 2-month volunteer activity, "SMB volunteers” receive certificates of accomplishment.
