Cooperation between education and entrepreneurship discussed

The next event organized within the scope of the World Forum on Small and Medium Entrepreneurship held in Baku, focused on educational-entrepreneurial cooperation, development of new organizational models, integration of scientific innovations into business, and harnessing the potential of universities.

The next event of the World Forum on Small and Medium Enterprises (SME World Forum 2023) held in Baku as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week is to focus on the interaction between business and education. Officials, professors, teachers and students from various higher education institutions, as well as entrepreneurs attended the event organized by ADA University, supported by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the International Council for Small Business (ICSB).

In order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, the issues of cooperation between education and entrepreneurship, development and implementation of organizational models of entrepreneurship support within this cooperation, integration of scientific innovations into business, harnessing of the potential of scientific research centres of universities, training of qualified personnel in line with the needs of small and medium businesses, development of practical educational programs as well as business expertise-driven methodical materials for higher education institutions were addressed at the event.

At the event, Fariz Ismailzade, ADA University vice-rector, Ayman El Tarabishy, ICSB President and CEO, and Ki Chan Kim, Chairman of the board, and Zaur Gardashov Adviser to the Chairman of the board of KOBİA, shared their insights on entrepreneurship and educational cooperation and the measures implemented in this field.

Panel discussions on "A New Way Forward: Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through Entrepreneurship" and "Emerging Trends for SMBs" were organized as part of the event. Leaders, professors and teachers from leading higher education institutions of countries such as Germany, Australia, Spain, and Japan, took part in the offline and online discussions, sharing their perspectives on trends, models of cooperation, expectations from this cooperation, as well as addressing the participants` questions.
