In order to expand direct communication with entrepreneurs, identify their needs and proposals, and inform them about state support mechanisms and business opportunities, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) organizes sectoral meetings, awareness-raising events, public discussions, and other activities.
In 2025, 130 meetings were organized with the participation of more than 2,800 entrepreneurs. Of these meetings, 111 were sector-specific and 19 were awareness-raising in nature. The events covered topical issues such as agriculture, tourism, industry, food production, import-export, SMB clusters, women’s entrepreneurship, and youth entrepreneurship. Meetings held with the participation of relevant government institutions served as an effective platform for identifying the issues faced by entrepreneurs, recording their proposals, and promptly responding to their questions.
Last year, six public discussions were organized by the Public Council under KOBIA, with the participation of more than 400 entrepreneurs. These public discussions, dedicated to topical issues aimed at improving the business environment, contributed to strengthening cooperation among government institutions, business associations, and entrepreneurs.
A number of issues raised during the meetings and public discussions were resolved jointly with the relevant institutions, and some of the proposals put forward by entrepreneurs were taken into account within the framework of legislative initiatives.
At the same time, Agency representatives visited more than 30 production and service enterprises operating in Baku and the regions, which proved useful for assessing the situation in the real sector on-site and informing entrepreneurs about state support mechanisms.
