Discussions with EBRD representatives on Public-Private Partnership

A meeting with representatives of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) was held at the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The prospects of development of Public-Private Partnership mechanism in our country and improvement of legislation in this area were discussed at the meeting. The EBRD technical assistance project presented a draft of a comprehensive diagnostic report on public-private partnerships for Azerbaijan prepared by international consultants. During the meeting, it was noted that EBRD will provide comprehensive technical support for the development of the Public-Private Partnership Strategic Development Program and draft law, taking into account the best international practices.

Note that proposals on the development of the legal framework and institutional infrastructure for public-private partnerships, and the development, implementation and coordination of programs and projects in this area are covered by the activities of the Center for Public-Private Partnership Development in the structure of SMB.
