A seminar on "The role of GS1 system and barcodes in exports, the importance of automatic identification technologies" was held in Khachmaz region with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of "Private Sector Development" project.


Entrepreneurs engaged in the production and export of agricultural products and services were informed about the advantages of the GS 1 system used to increase business efficiency, improve the identification process of accounting objects, and regulate information flows. Representatives of GS1 Azerbaijan explained the system's ability to identify information about products and services, the role of international bar coding standards in exports, as well as points to pay attention to in connection with the barcode during export. The seminar, which was attended by more than 15 entrepreneurs, demonstrated the process of accounting and inventory using barcodes.


At the end of the seminar, participants' questions on the topic were answered.
