
Speaking at the event dedicated to the International Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day, the chairman of KOBİA noted that the SME World Forum will take place in Baku this year.
Jointly organized by the UN and the International Council for Small Business (ICSB), an event dedicated to the International International Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day was held in New York City on June 27.
At the event, which was held with the involvement of international SMB organizations, officials from different countries, information was conveyed on the contribution of SMBs to sustainable economic development, employment and achieving Sustainable Development Goals, various support mechanisms for the development of SMBs, innovations in this field and planned measures were discussed.
The event also featured a video address from Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA). In a video address, the chairman of KOBİA delivered information about the support provided to SMBs in Azerbaijan, the activities of the Agency in this field, and the cooperation between ICSB member KOBİA and the organization. The chairman of the agency also pointed out to the fact that the International SME Forum will be held in Baku in November this year. It was noted that the forum, which will be held within the framework of joint cooperation with ICSB, will be a pivotal platform for amplifying relations between local and foreign SMBs, investors, and academic circles.
