At the Fourth Forum of Young Entrepreneurs organized within the scope of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, young people and start-ups interested in entrepreneurship were informed about business support measures, encouraging entrepreneurship among young people, and projects implemented to this end.
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Youth Fund and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), the Fourth Forum of Young Entrepreneurs was held at "Baku SMB House".
The event held as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, drew over 100 entrepreneurs, enthusiastic members of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, start-ups, and young people interested in entrepreneurship.
The forum was conducted as part of the events planned as part of the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" declared in our country to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, who played a significant role in the development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.
The event commenced with the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a minute's silence observed in memory of our martyrs who sacrificied their lives for the territorial integrity of our country.
Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, Gadir Khalilov, Executive Director of the Youth Foundation, and Ulvi Abasguliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board of the Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency were given the floor at the forum. Speaking at the event, they conveyed information on the support measures for the development of entrepreneurship in our country, encouragement of entrepreneurship among young people, significance of projects implemented to this end, innovative approach in business initiatives of young people, the role of young people in the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in our country, boosting the knowledge and skills of young people who have taken an interest in entrepreneurship, adapting young people to the challenges of the modern labour market, exploring their potential and supporting their initiatives.
The forum also featured a video message from Jonathan Ortmans, co-founder of the Global Entrepreneurship Week and president of the Global Entrepreneurship Network.
At the panel discussion on "Entrepreneur's Notebook: Investments for Tomorrow" organized as part of the event, representatives of the Youth Foundation, Innovations Center LLC, State Tax Service, Caucasus Ventures Fund, SABAH.HUB Innovation Center informed young people about innovations in the field of entrepreneurship and state concessions, and addressed the participants` questions.
It is worth noting that Young Entrepreneurs Forum, which has been organized for the fourth time in our country and has become a tradition, primarily aims to promote business activities among young people, inform them about the existing prospects and state support mechanisms for the realization of business projects, assist them in acquiring fundamental knowledge to start their own businesses, and network business entities.
