Germany-Azerbaijan cooperation on the professional development of managers

An event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the “German-Azerbaijani Joint Program for the professional development of Managers in business community of Azerbaijan” was held with the organization of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

Officials from Azerbaijan and Germany, business people and managers who were trained and practiced in Germany through the program, and over 200 participants attended the event.

Speaking at the event, Niyazi Safarov, Deputy Minister of Economy, Wolfgang Manig, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Heinz Hetmayer, Representative of the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy, and Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA shared their views on the Azerbaijani-German economic relations, cooperation between local and German companies, the implementation of the joint German-Azerbaijani program forthe professional development of managers in business community of Azerbaijan and its benefits for entrepreneurs.

The event has also hosted panel discussions to exchange perspectives on further cooperation and views on subjects as new technologies, innovations in sales and marketing, startup movement in Azerbaijan and Germany, a realization of new ideas, and management of changes in management.

Participants of the event also got acquainted with the exhibition of products of entrepreneurs and managers who benefited from the program.
