A delegation led by Abdusalam Muhammad, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Libya, visited the Baku SME House.
As part of the familiarization visit to the SME House, the Libyan delegation was informed by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) that the SME Houses, which operate as single-window service centers for entrepreneurs, provide a wide range of services delivered by both public and private institutions-starting from business planning to the establishment and development of entrepreneurial activity. At present, four SME Houses and one service center operate across the country for the benefit of entrepreneurs. The delegation was also informed that SME Houses offer nearly 400 “G2B” and “B2B” services through more than 50 public and private institutions. In 2024, the operations of SME Houses were recognized as one of the best practices in service delivery to entrepreneurs by the OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation, and this year, the SME House model was similarly assessed as a successful experience in the EU-supported Azerbaijan Business Environment Report.
