The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) provides support to entrepreneurs in four stages: business planning, starting a business, operating a business, and developing a business. Each of these stages consists of different support measures and services. The Agency informs new entrepreneurs about the steps that should be taken in accordance with their plans and connects them with the relevant institutions. It provides consultancy services on business registration, licenses and permits required for entrepreneurial activity, state support instruments, and other administrative matters. At the next stage, free training programs are offered to entrepreneurs in order for them to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of business, as well as to improve their existing knowledge. For the purpose of obtaining a business loan, which is important for starting entrepreneurial activity, KOBİA also provides support to business entities in the preparation of a business plan. As market research is important for starting a new business, KOBİA provides financial support of up to 20,000 manats for conducting market research.
