
In the first half of 2022, 46 micro and small entrepreneurs applied to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) for the issuance of the "Startup" certificate. 16 micro-entrepreneurs were awarded certificates by the Council of Experts based on the "Criteria for determining a startup" approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated January 29, 2021. The "Startup" certificates were presented for agriculture, agribusiness, mobile application, fintech, online platform, production areas containing innovative solutions, e-commerce projects.
In total, 44 micro and small business entities have been awarded the "Startup" certificate.
The "Startup" certificate exempts SME entities from profit and income tax on their revenues from innovation activities for a period of 3 years from the date of receipt of the certificate.
Micro and small business entities whose projects are in the development stage can apply to KOBİA for a "Startup" certificate.
