The Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On the Development of Micro, Small, and Medium Entrepreneurship" stipulates the establishment of unified register for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprisers. In accordance with this law, the "Regulation on the unified register of micro, small, and medium business entities" was approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 13, 2024.
This regulation delineates the legal, organizational, and technological framework for the register's operation, including the registration procedure and the required information to be included. The register to be established in accordance with the relevant regulation, will allow for obtaining information regarding SMBs, the services and support measures provided to them by government agencies, and the results of evaluations of their activities from a single electronic source. The exchange of information between the register and other governmental information systems and resources will be carried out through the electronic government information system.
The register will provide prompt access to the necessary information about SMBs, provide convenience for users, transparency with the ability to track the procedures performed and their results. The register will contain various information about SMB entities, including the name of the entity, address, TIN, information obtained from the state registry related to public registration, contact details, distribution according to criteria, issued licenses and permits, scope of activity, inspections (monitoring) conducted, and the results of assessments, etc. by government agencies.
SMB entities, government agencies engaged in the register's information processes, and entities comprising the SMB support infrastructure will have access to the specified register.
The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) operates as both the owner and operator of the register.
Access to information in the register is provided free of charge.
