To date, 51 internal market studies have been conducted at the expense of state funding at the request of business owners and at the initiative of KOBİA.
At the initiative of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), internal market research is currently being conducted in 7 areas. Internal market research covers the demand for cold storage, ecotourism potential of Azerbaijan, production of leather and leather products, establishment of a textile enterprise, prospects for the establishment of agricultural processing and industrial enterprises in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, local raw materials for construction purposes.
These were determined by the Agency based on the results of the surveys conducted among business owners, as well as the documents adopted regarding the socio-economic development of the country.
When the market research is complete, it will be posted on the KOBİA website www.smb.gov.az for the use of entrepreneurs.
It is noteworthy that the internal market research is conducted at the request of entrepreneurs and the initiative of KOBİA. In 2023, at the request of business owners, internal market research was conducted in 4 areas and reports were presented to entrepreneurs. To date, 25 internal market studies have been conducted at the request of entrepreneurs, and 26 at the initiative of KOBİA. Market research initiated by the Agency is posted on the official website of KOBİA and is available for the use of entrepreneurs.
State support for the internal market research mechanism is provided by KOBİA. 80% of the cost of each internal market research conducted at the request of a micro-business entity, 50% of the cost of the research conducted at the request of a small business entity is covered by the state. A maximum of 20,000 manats is the amount of support paid for each internal market research. Conducting the internal market research is carried out by tender in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On State Procurement" by order of KOBİA. Entrepreneurs who seeking to produce new products and services and expand their business are encouraged to directly or electronically apply to the Agency by filling out the relevant application form on the KOBİA website for internal market research.
