Prospects such as local companies and startups operating in the field of ICT benefiting from the opportunities of the Informatics Valley and its branch in Baku, implementation of joint entrepreneurship events with "Informatics Valley Baku", and exchange of experience were stipulated in the Protocol of Intent (PoI) signed between KOBİA and the Informatics Valley of Türkiye.
Micro, small and medium business entities and startups of Azerbaijan will be able to benefit from the opportunities of the branches of Informatics Valley of Türkiye and the branch of "Informatics Valley Baku" operating at Azerbaijan Technical University.
On July 10, the Protocol of Intent on cooperation between the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and Informatics Valley of Türkiye was signed at "Baku SMB House" on this subject. The document was signed by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA and Ahmet Serdar Ibrahimcioglu, General Manager of Informatics Valley.
The document provides for avenues such as for local enterprises and start-ups in the field of ICT to benefit from the opportunities of "Informatics Valley Baku", contribute to their development by setting ravishing conditions for the involvement of local enterprises operating in Azerbaijan in the programs and other events organized by the Informatics Valley of Türkiye, implementation of joint activities in the field of entrepreneurship with "Informatics Valley Baku", as well as organization of training, conferences and other events, exchange of experience. The Protocol of Intent also envisages that the companies that attend "Informatics Valley Baku" will become beneficiaries of the "Startup" certificate and grant support, and support their involvement in exhibitions held with the support of KOBİA.
As part of the event, a meeting was held between Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, and Ahmet Serdar Ibrahimcioglu, General Manager of Informatics Valley. At the meeting attended by Vilayat Valiyev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University, prospects arising out of the document signed between the parties and opportunities for cooperation were discussed.
In addition, the representatives of the Informatics Valley of Türkiye familiarized themselves with the opportunities created in the Startup Center operating in the "Baku SMB House".
