KOBİA joins the UN Global Compact

KOBİA, as a party to the UN Global Compact, will pay greater attention to environmental issues and the promotion of "green economy" in its work process with SMBs.

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) has joined the UN Global Compact.

The Agency, as a party to the UN Global Compact, will continue to contribute to the global sustainable development strategy by aligning its strategy and activities with the relevant principles of the Sustainable Development Goals, supporting the development of SMBs and the establishment of new business entities. In addition, given that the Agency has declared 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" in our country and that the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) will be held in Azerbaijan, will pay more attention to environmental issues and the promotion of "green economy" in its activities and in the process of working with SMBs.

It is worth highlighting that the UN Global Compact brings together more than 20,000 business and non-business partners in more than 160 countries. The primary goal of the organization's members is to adapt their strategies and activities to internationally accepted principles associated with human rights, labour rights, environmental protection, as well as the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development".
