On January 16, the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Week, traditionally held in Istanbul, was launched. The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), which promotes public-private partnership in our country, is also represented at the seventh Istanbul PPP Week this year.

In his speech at the opening ceremony of the event, the Chairman of the Management Board of KOBİA, Orkhan Mammadov, laid out  information about the implementation of the PPP mechanism in our country and the work done in this field. It was noted that the "2022-2026 socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" envisages the implementation of PPP projects in various fields. On December 27, 2022, the Law "On Public-Private Partnership" came into force. The PPP Development Center operates under KOBİA. The agency is working on the searching and selection of prospective PPP projects to be implemented in Baku and the regions of the country. Furthermore, KOBİA provided assistance in attracting investments, searching for potential partners and implementing pilot projects in various infrastructure sectors.
