KOBİA was represented at a roundtable discussion held as part of the "Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum"

During the event, KOBİA shared ideas and proposals for fostering collaboration among entrepreneurs from both countries, extending support to Russian entrepreneurs interested in establishing businesses in Azerbaijan, and facilitating the exchange of expertise in working with SMBs.

The representatives from the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) participated in the "Russia-Azerbaijan" roundtable, which was organized within the framework of the "Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum 2024" in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan.

In his presentation at the event, Mr. Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board at KOBİA, provided insights into fostering collaboration between entrepreneurs from both countries, supporting Russian entrepreneurs looking to initiate businesses in Azerbaijan, and exploring opportunities for exchanging expertise in working with SMBs. It was noted that the exchange of expertise plays a crucial role in establishing and strengthening business ties between entrepreneurs from both countries. KOBİA can support Russian entrepreneurs in finding local business partners through its SME network, operating in around 50 districts and cities of Azerbaijan. Joint educational programs, training sessions, and seminars aimed at enhancing entrepreneurs' skills in digital marketing, along with consultancy services, can facilitate mutual product promotion. We invite Russian entrepreneurs to actively participate in projects in the liberated territories, considering the region's investment potential and priority concepts such as "smart city", "smart village", and "green energy".

The representatives of KOBİA also visited the Azerbaijani pavilion at the "Russia Halal Expo" exhibition organized within the framework of the "Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum 2024." With the support of the Ministry of Economy and organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO, the stand showcases textiles, tea, nuts, confectionery, spices, meat, and meat products produced in our country by entrepreneurs. The exhibition also provides information on Azerbaijan's economic opportunities, including investment and export prospects, tourism potential, as well as incentives offered to investors by AZPROMO, KOBİA, and the State Tourism Agency.

Within the framework of the visit, the representatives of KOBİA met with Mr.  Vladimir Platonov, the President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss new directions and joint initiatives for expanding cooperation between business circles.
