Local startups at TEKNOFEST 26.05.22

The first TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival was launched in Baku on May 26. The festival is a convenient platform for introducing innovative products and services of local startups, presenting them to investors and exchanging ideas with foreign startups. For this purpose, competitions, Take Off Baku Startup Summit, and exhibitions are held within the TEKNOFEST. The Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (KOBİA) is one of the main partners of indoor and outdoor exhibitions and the Take Off Baku Startup Summit.

With the support of KOBİA, local startups present innovative projects and solutions on a special stand set aside for them. Innovative solutions such as devices and solutions for agriculture and the "smart city", smart lighting, drones, devices for generating energy from sewage, "smart mailboxes" for logistics, microwave washing device, waste oil treatment system, device for turning a soft toy into a smart toy, 3D printers and software, etc. are on display. It should be noted that KOBİA has issued Startup certificates and allocated grant funds for relevant projects. During the festival, startups will have the opportunity to present their projects to investors and venture funds, as well as participate in the competition with a total prize fund of $ 50,000.

KOBİA's stand also hosts various competitions for guests. Visitors will receive prizes for answering questions about new technological trends and the activities of KOBİA in accordance with the TEKNOFEST concept.

The Take Off Baku Startup Summit is also being held as part of the festival. The purpose of the summit, of which KOBİA is also a key partner, is to contribute to the development of the startup ecosystem and develop international cooperation by creating a favorable environment for innovative entrepreneurship in the region. The summit will include meetings with investors, companies and foreign mentors, speeches by influential speakers and other events.

It should be noted that the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival is organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey. The festival will last until May 29.
