Meeting held between businesspersons from Kahramanmarash of Türkiye and local entrepreneurs 04.03.24

At the event attended by about 150 businesspersons, economic and trade cooperation prospects and mutual investment between Azerbaijan and Türkiye were the subject of discussion.

A group of businesspersons from the city of Kahramanmarash of Türkiye is visiting our country with the support of the Türkiye Hundred Years Cooperation and Solidarity Platform. Joint cooperation and mutual investment avenues between businesspersons of Türkiye and Azerbaijan were discussed at the "Baku SMB House" organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and with the support of the platform.

Some 150 businesspersons from both countries operating in the service, agriculture, industry, ICT, construction, tourism, etc. sectors attended the event.

Sadiq Sadigov, Chairperson of the Board of the State Housing Development Agency, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairperson of the Board of KOBİA, Cahit Bagji, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, Mustafa Buluntu, Chairperson of Kahramanmarash Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Cengiz Aygor, Chairman of Türkiye Hundred Years of Cooperation and Solidarity Platform, shared their perspectives on economic, trade and investment cooperation between both countries, mutual investment prospects, as well as the role of Azerbaijan in the reconstruction works in Kahramanmarash, which suffered from the earthquake. It was pointed out that the economic relations between these two countries are multifaceted, along with covering various sectors. Our objective is to boost the role of SMBs in trade relations and expand joint projects. Furthermore, our countries cooperate in the social and humanitarian sphere. Azerbaijan has supported Türkiye since the first day of the earthquake that struck several different areas of Türkiye. Azerbaijani businesspersons donated food and non-food aid through the "Brotherly Help" platform established to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake. Azerbaijan is involved in reconstruction and restoration works in the city of Kahramanmarash, where the "Azerbaijan" residential area is being built, in addition to carrying out humanitarian work there.

As part of the event, AZPROMO held a presentation on the outstanding investment environment and investment prospects of our country, B2B meetings were held between businesspersons of Azerbaijan and Türkiye operating in the fields of textiles, construction, agriculture, logistics, tourism, trade, packaging, electric power industry, science, and education.
