Meeting of the Azerbaijan-Qatar Joint Business Council to be held 18.07.23

At the meeting between KOBİA and the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, cooperation as part of the Azerbaijan-Qatar Joint Business Council and the organization of the first meeting of the council were subjects of discussion.

Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), met with Khalifa Bin Jasem Al Thani, President of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, to attend the 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA).

At the meeting, opinions were shared on cooperation within the scope of the Azerbaijan-Qatar Joint Business Council, holding the first meeting of the council with the involvement of entrepreneurs from both countries this year.

It is worth highlighting that the Agreement on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Qatar Joint Business Council was signed in 2022 between KOBİA and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Business Council supports the initiatives of entrepreneurs, the establishment of direct relations between businesses, including SMBs, the organization of events, and exchange of information to further expand bilateral economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Qatar.
