Meeting organized by SMBDA was held with the entrepreneurs of greenhouse farmsteads in Salyan 17.12.19

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized a meeting with owners of greenhouse farmsteads who engages in fruit and vegetable production on December 17 in Salyan.

Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, "Azerigaz" Production Union, Salyan Region Executive Power, and about 50 delegates from greenhouse farmsteads participated at the meeting organized within the platform on public-private dialogue.

Appeals of entrepreneurs on debt relief for gas consumption, relocation of gas meter and other matters were discussed and answered. It was noted that the appeals regarding the relocation of gas meter in greenhouse farmsteads would be implemented at the expense of “Azerigaz”, and entrepreneurs would receive support in relations to other appeals.

Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, who attended the meeting, emphasized the importance of greenhouse farmsteads in ensuring employment and increasing exports and noted that this field is also in the spotlight of SMBDA. It was noted that this is the third meeting, while previous two discussions were held with the owners of greenhouse farmsteads in the Shamkir region and Khazar district of Baku. Meetings in this format are expected to be held continuously.

It was stated that the issues raised at the meeting would be kept in focus and addressed by SMBDA.
