Moldova's Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration visited SMBDA

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu visited the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA).


During the meeting, Minister Nicu Popescu stressed the development of relations between the two countries and the opportunities for further expansion of cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship. He noted that for this purpose, the Moldovan side is interested in organizing mutual visits and events with the participation of businessmen. At the same time, the expansion of relations between SMBDA and the relevant body of Moldova can also contribute to the development of cooperation between the business community of our countries.


Chairman of the Board of SMBDA Orkhan Mammadov informed about the investment potential of Azerbaijan, favorable business environment, state support provided to entrepreneurs, as well as the services provided by SMBDA, and shared his views on opportunities for cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship.


The sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation between businessmen of the two countries, the possibility of organizing an event with the participation of entrepreneurs within the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Moldova. Minister Nicu Papescu invited the SMBDA delegation and Azerbaijani businessmen to visit Moldova.


The meeting also included a presentation on Azerbaijan's business and investment opportunities.
