The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between KOBİA and Baku Business University is expected to expand practical links between science and the private sector, form business ideas among students, support the implementation of innovative initiatives, and promote volunteering.
As part of the "Graduates of 2023" event and career exhibition held at Baku Business University, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was signed between the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the university.
The document was signed by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA and Ibad Abbasov, Rector of Baku Business University. The document is intended to expand potential relations between science and the private sector, form business ideas among students, support the implementation of innovative initiatives, encourage the students for volunteering and carry out joint activities regarding other issues, and realize joint projects.
At the meeting with the students, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, expressed his views on encouraging young people to become entrepreneurs, the significance of business-oriented education to become a successful entrepreneur, the support and services provided by the Agency for starting and expanding a business. It was noted that the formation of educated and literate staff is among the factors directly affecting the development of the business environment. Encouraging entrepreneurs and people interested in starting business, especially young people, to entrepreneurship and business development is one of the main activities of KOBİA. In this field, the Agency provides support and services in the areas of enhancing business knowledge, expanding sales opportunities, protecting the interests of entrepreneurs, supporting innovative initiatives, training, consulting, conducting internal market research, awarding a grant, issuing a "Startup" certificate, etc. Young people seeking to start a business and expand their existing business activities can also benefit from above-mentioned supports.
KOBİA representatives also visited the career exhibition and honorary degrees were presented to outstanding students with great academic achievements.
