New business assositions created

“Association of sand, gravel and stone producers” Public Union, “Association of Azerbaijan jewelers” Public Union and “Chain Stores” Public Union were established by the initiative and with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

All three business associations have been registered with the state and have already started their activity.

The new associations were created to support the development of relevant sectors, to promote and restructuring initiatives in these sectors, to coordinate with entrepreneurs, especially small and medium-sized businesses, and to expand cooperation between them.

It should be noted that the “strategic road map on the production of consumer goods at the level of small and medium enterprises in the Republic of Azerbaijan” envisages the creation of new business associations and strengthening the activity of existing associations. SMBDA closely cooperates with business associations and promotes the creation of business associations among entrepreneurs. Most of the 15 organizations represented in the Public Council under the agency are sectoral associations operating in various sectors of the economy.
