Opportunities for cooperation with Japanese investor discussed 12.08.20

Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) Orkhan Mammadov met with Munechika Tanio, a Japanese investor in Oguz Agro Industry LLC, and Namig Alasgarov, deputy director of the company.

The meeting discussed the current activities of the tobacco farm established in Sinjan village of Oguz region within the "State Program on Tobacco Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2017-2021", expansion of production capacity and additional state support measures needed to operate in other regions of the country.

During the meeting, Tanio stressed the favorable business and investment climate in the country, noting that Japanese investors are interested in tourism, agriculture, industry, pharmaceuticals and other areas in Azerbaijan. The parties held an exchange of views.
