During the visit to the United Arab Emirates to Dubai, the delegation of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) discussed the prospects of SMB cooperation with representatives of various organizations.

 

Chairman of the Board of SMBDA Orkhan Mammadov and Deputy CEO of Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) Khalifa Hassan Al Daboos were informed about the state support measures and the activities of the Agency and exchanged views on cooperation prospects. It was noted that there are a wide range of opportunities for the implementation of joint projects using favorable conditions and benefits created in industrial parks in Azerbaijan, with the financial support of Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), the implementation of projects with the participation of SMBs in our country, and the implementation of business projects by foreign investors in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.

 

At the meeting with the President & CEO of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry Hamad Buamim, the sides discussed the access of Azerbaijani SMBs to foreign markets, the cooperation and exchange of experience between the Agency's SMB development centers providing access to knowledge & skills and training, and Dubai Startup Hub, which is part of the Chamber, and continuation of cooperation between Azerbaijan and UAE on the establishment of a Working Board. It was also noted at the meeting that the Chamber member companies can participate in the implementation of investment projects in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, and relevant SMBs would support them with communication, consulting, finding local partners, and market research.
