Project "Development of regional partners" underway 10.03.23

As part of the project, entrepreneurs from the Lankaran-Astara economic region were provided with information on the opportunities of access to financial resources and the state support mechanisms available in this field.

It is necessary to inform entrepreneurs operating in the regions on access to financial resources and state support mechanisms available in this field. To this end, the "Development of Regional Partners" project is being implemented in the regions from 2022.

The project aims to provide information to business entities and people, who are willing to start entrepreneurship, about the state's support measures for funding entrepreneurial activity, as well as to expand business ties between businesspeople from the capital and regions.

The next event was held on March 10 in the city of Lankaran under the project jointly organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and "Marsol Group". More than 300 entrepreneurs from Baku city and Astara, Jalilabad, Lerik, Lankaran, Masalli, Yardimli, as well as Shirvan and Salyan districts, which are part of the Lankaran-Astara economic region, and representatives of relevant state agencies took part in the event.

At the event, the head of the Lankaran City Executive Power Taleh Garashov, the chairman of the Board of KOBİA Orkhan Mammadov, the chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency Mustafa Abbasbeyli, the chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund Osman Khaliyev provided information on the support and services offered to entrepreneurs, including concessional loans and subsidies provided by the state, alternative financing tools, the role of the self-employment program in starting micro and small entrepreneurship.

Tural Mustafayev, director of Marsol Group, Nasimi Khasiyev, head of Kapital Bank's Department of work with small and medium entrepreneurs, and Samir Alizade, head of Maricel Real Estate, talked about the activities of the companies they represent, cooperation with state agencies in the field of entrepreneurship, and the use of available support mechanisms.

Subsequently to the event, a panel discussion was held on the topic of "Regional entrepreneurs` opportunities of access to financial channels and state support mechanisms". The representatives of KOBİA, Agrarian Credit and Development Agency (AKIA), Entrepreneurship Development Fund, State Employment Agency and "Kapital Bank" who took part in the discussions provided detailed information on the topic, heard the proposals of entrepreneurs and addressed their questions.

It is worth highlighting that the first event within the scope of the "Development of Regional Partners" project was held in December 2022 in the city of Sheki, and more than 200 entrepreneurs and people who are eager to start a business were given information on the opportunities of access to financial resources. The State Employment Agency, "Kapital Bank", "Maricel Astara Resort" hotel and "Moon Group" are involved as partners of the project. The project is to be held in other cities and regions of the country in the forthcoming months.
