May 20, the Forum on the Role of Public Councils in the Development of Small and Medium Enterprise was held by the Public Council at the Agency for Development of Small and Medium Business in Azerbaijan (SMBDA).

The event was attended by chairpersons and members of public councils, representatives of non-governmental organizations as well as entrepreneurs.

The forum emphasized importance of public control over the activities of government agencies and effectiveness of their decisions, importance of the activities of public councils in this area, provided information on the work of public councils operating at various government agencies and discussed issues of enhancing role of public councils in development of small and medium enterprises.

Members of the Public Council and representatives of other non-governmental organizations as well as SMBDA made presentations on the role of public councils in development of small and medium enterprises.
