The offices of SMB Friends of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, operating in cities and regions of the country, with the exception of Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron regions, have resumed the provision of services for micro, small and medium entrepreneurs as of May 4.
When entrepreneurs visit SMB Friends offices, “SME volunteers” monitor compliance with the necessary social distancing behavior and sanitary and epidemiological rules prescribed by the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers.
Friends of small and medium business working in the regions of Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron continue to provide online support and services to entrepreneurs.
SMB Friend mechanism is one of the main tools to support micro, small and medium enterprises through Agency representatives in the country's regions.
In total, 22 SMB friends working in different cities and regions of the country provide information, advice, coordination, training, legal assistance, protection of rights, improving access to markets and other support and services for entrepreneurs. SMB friends provide entrepreneurs with online services during special quarantine regime.
SMB Friends organized online events with the participation of circa 10,000 business entities. Entrepreneurs working in areas affected by the coronavirus pandemic were informed about the mechanisms of financial and economic support of the state, covering all administrative regions of the country, and received answers related to this support.
