"SMB Volunteers" program turns 5 years old

So far, some 600 young people have joined the "SMB Volunteers" program.


This year marks the 5th anniversary of the "SMB Volunteers" program of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA). So far, about 600 young people have joined the "SMB Volunteers" program, with 60 young people were involved in the last period of 2023.


Since its establishment, KOBİA has been carrying out volunteering activities to foster public and social responsibility pursuant to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Voluntary Activities". The "SMB Volunteers" program supports young people, especially young people studying management, business and administration, broaden their knowledge and skills, outlook, and work habits in their fields. "SMB volunteers" are closely involved in the daily operations within the administrative building of KOBİA, offices of SMB Friends offices, SMB houses and other facilities of the agency. KOBİA issues certificates to young people who have successfully completed the two months of voluntary work in accordance with their contractual obligations, creating an opportunity for their successful transition into work life.


Voluntary activity also provides an opportunity for employment at the Agency. Two of the young people who volunteered at KOBİA have been hired in various structural divisions of the Agency this year, bringing the total to 14 hires so far.


Young people interested in joining the "SMB Volunteers" program are requested to register in the "Become a SMB Volunteer" section on the official website of the SMB at www.smb.gov.az. Applications included in this section are evaluated and candidates who meet the selection criteria for volunteers are invited to volunteer.
