Representatives of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan were in the Small Business Federation in London within a visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
At a meeting with Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, and James Sibley, Deputy Director of the European Union and International Relations Office of the Small Business Federation, information was provided on the activities of SMBDA, its cooperation with relevant authorities of foreign countries, including Great Britain, and discussions were held on cooperation with the federation, organizing the visits of the representatives of the organization to our country, exchange of experience in providing services to start-ups and SMBs.
At a meeting with Tashkin Temiz, a member of the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the sides exchanged views on the support of SMBs within the EBRD Strategy for 2019-2024, as well as on cooperation in the field of Public-Private Partnership, and the organization of the conference together with EBRD Baku Office and with the participation of SMBs.
At a meeting with Peter Bishop, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the sides mutually shared information about the activities of SMBDA and the Chamber, and the services provided to SMBs, and held discussions on the opportunities for Azerbaijani companies to join the Enterprise Europe Network, one of the world's largest business support networks, providing services to SMBs, exchange of experience in access to markets, as well as improving the knowledge and skills of SMBs in the field of export.
