The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) was represented at the 4th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic relations between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, held on May 20 in Baku.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the SMBDA Board Orkhan Mammadov shared his vision of the prospects for cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of SMBs between our countries and made proposals on the possibilities of expanding ties. It has been noted that the Agency cooperates with the relevant British agencies in the field of SMBs and arranges various meetings and events to develop relations in this area. The Agency is interested in learning the UK's successful experience in implementing the SMB support mechanisms.
The Chairman of the SMBDA Board provided information on the SMBDA activity, its support and services provided to SMBs, noted that the Agency had issued “Startup” certificates to SMBs to support startups in Azerbaijan, and emphasized the potential of cooperation between the two countries in the field of startups.
