Representatives of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan participate in the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum held on June 2-5 in St. Petersburg.
Chairman of the SMBDA Board Orkhan Mammadov spoke at the panel “Young entrepreneurship in higher education institutions: support for business associations” arranged as part of the forum by the All-Russian Organization of Small and Medium Businesses “Opora Russia”. The great role of educational institutions in the formation of entrepreneurial thinking was noted. The Agency attaches great importance to the promotion of entrepreneurship, especially among the youth, and takes various measures in this area, working closely with higher education institutions. SMBDA’s support mechanisms such as grants, “Startup” certificates, and free training and consulting services are also aimed at attracting young people to entrepreneurship and developing their businesses.
During the forum, the chairman of the SMBDA and the president of the All-Russian Organization of Small and Medium Businesses "Opora Russia" Aleksandr Kalinin have exchanged views on the opportunities for expanding cooperation.
The XXIV International Economic Forum will run until June 5.
