SMBDA representatives held several meetings in Germany 12.02.20

Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA)of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Achim Michel, representative of the German Federal Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (BVMW) responsible for Bavaria.

The meeting provided information about the activities of the two organizations, the support measures implemented for SMBs, and highlighted that the association is interested in cooperation with SMBDA. The sides exchanged views on organizing joint activities with the participation of SMBs, implementation of tourism and ICT projects, and experience of SMB financing.

Discussions were held on the exchange of experience in the field of clustering at the meeting with Horst Domdey, head of the "BioM Biotech" Cluster Development Center of Germany. It was reported that several concessions are planned for SMB clusters in Azerbaijan, and SMBDA is an authorized body issuing the certificate of confirmation in this area. The German side highlighted the support for clusters operating in the pharmaceutical and other fields in Bavaria. The meeting discussed the exchange of experience in providing consulting services to start-ups and the organization of study tours.
