One of the main areas of activities of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan is to support start-ups, micro, small and medium businesses to access local and foreign markets.

In 2019, more than 150 SMBs participated at no cost in 15 specialized exhibitions and fairs with the support of the Agency. Entrepreneurs presented their products and services to a wider audience, expanded their sales opportunities, and established new business relationships under this support.

SMBDA cooperated with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and companies such as "BP," “AzerTelecom,” “ZiraatBank,” “Pasha Holding” within the business partnership platform to organize exhibitions and fairs. Special attention is paid to the participation of start-ups, women, and people with disabilities in such exhibitions and fairs.

In 2020, SMBDA will continue to support the participation of SMBs in exhibitions and fairs organized both in our country and abroad.
