SMBs development centers opened in Baku and Sumgait 25.09.20

The development of knowledge and skills of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, expansion of access to innovation, organization of training events in accordance with modern requirements, as well as practical consulting services are important for business starting and its development. From this point of view, the activities of the centers, as a structural unit of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, are of particular importance.

On September 25, SMBs development centers have started functioning in Baku and Sumgait. Therefore, the number of SMBs development centers in the country has reached 3 – in Baku, Sumgait and Khachmaz.

The Chairman of SMBDA Management Board Orkhan Mammadov viewed conditions created in SMBs development centers to provision of consulting services to micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, met with of the heads of management organizations of centers.

At the centers will be organize business-oriented trainings for business starters, provide individual or group consulting services, support for the SMB networking, participation in international exchange programs and access to financing resources. The Baku SMBs development center will provide services for the development of a business plan, market research, marketing, sales, financial management, held trainings on business legislation and other areas, organize consulting services by experienced and professional experts to entrepreneurs, as well as to those who want to engage in entrepreneurial activities in Baku, and the Sumgait SMBs development center in Absheron economic region and surrounding areas.

The centers also will provide services to support innovative entrepreneurship, start-ups and family businesses, promotion of entrepreneurship among women, disabled and young people, awareness raising among SMBs.

All services provided by SMBs development centers are free.

The organization of services provided at Baku and Sumgait SMBs development centers is undertaken by private sector – "Universitas İnternational" LLC and the Azerbaijan Bank Training Centre.

The micro, small and medium businesses of Baku and Absheron region, as well as who want to engage in entrepreneurial activities may access the Baku and Sumgait SMBs development centers.
