“Start-up” Certificates Issued to Nine More SMEs

The number of SMEs that have received a “Start-up” certificate has reached 247.

A regular meeting of the Expert Council established at the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) for the issuance of “Start-up” certificates was held. During the meeting, 12 applications submitted by SME entities were reviewed, and a decision was made to issue “Start-up” certificates to nine of them.

“Start-up” certificates were issued for the projects of Mountai Group LLC (AI-based analytics and digital solutions for the oil and gas industry), JFB Tech LLC (development and production of software for humanoid robots), Castingaz LLC (an online casting platform), Smile Tour LLC (a marketplace for travel and tourism services), Markpro Group LLC (an EU-supported digital marketing platform), Buta Xidmət LLC (an online social entrepreneurship platform), Afgan Mehdikhanov (an AI-powered tourism platform), Nurlan Kurbanov (an EU-supported digital customer loyalty platform), and Seymur Rzayev (an online management platform based on the “Agile” model).

A “Start-up” certificate exempts SME entities, for a period of three years from the date the certificate is issued, from profit tax and income tax on revenues generated through innovation activities.

Micro and small enterprises whose projects are at the development stage may apply to KOBİA for a “Start-up” certificate. The application form and other required documents, as well as detailed information on the relevant eligibility criteria, can be accessed via the following link:
